How do I start playing?

Begin with Practice mode — no time limit, no energy cost. Pick a Bible book, difficulty, question count, and start. Practice is the onboarding path; it doesn't grant XP directly. When you're ready for Ranked, complete the Bible Basics catechism (10 core doctrinal questions, score ≥8/10) to unlock it — passing once unlocks Ranked permanently. Ranked is where you earn XP toward your tier.

Which Bible translation does the app use?

English questions use the English Standard Version (ESV). Vietnamese uses the Revised Vietnamese Version 2011 (RVV11). Both are widely adopted Protestant translations — faithful to the original languages and accessible to modern readers.

How do I switch question language between Vietnamese and English?

How does the tier system work?

Six tiers tracked by lifetime XP total: New Believer (0 XP) → Seeker (1,000) → Disciple (5,000) → Sage (15,000) → Prophet (40,000) → Apostle (100,000). Tiers only rise, never fall. Each tier scales 5 things at once: (1) mode unlocks — Ranked at T2, Tournament at T4; (2) Ranked XP multiplier: 1.0× → 1.1× → 1.2× → 1.3× → 1.5× → 2.0×; (3) Energy regen/hour: 20 → 22 → 25 → 28 → 30 → 35; (4) Streak Freezes/week: 1 (T1-T2) → 2 (T3-T4) → 3 (T5-T6); (5) Harder question mix + shorter timer — T1 has 70% easy/30s, T6 has 60% hard/18s. Cosmetics (avatar frames, quiz themes) also unlock by tier.

How are Streak and XP different?

They're two completely independent currencies. XP is the main progression lane — earned only from Ranked mode, determines your tier (1-6), unlocks new modes, scales rewards, drives leaderboard position, and unlocks cosmetics. Streak is an engagement reward — goes up when you play Ranked daily (and Daily Challenge soon), regardless of performance. You can have a high streak but low tier (faithful daily visitor not yet skilled at Ranked) or vice versa (skilled grinder who plays sporadically). Both have their own value: streak reflects faithful consistency, XP reflects Bible mastery.

When does Ranked mode unlock?

Complete the Bible Basics catechism — 10 core questions covering Christian doctrine (Trinity, attributes of God, Christology, salvation by grace, etc.). Score at least 8/10 to pass — passing once unlocks Ranked permanently. There's a 60-second cooldown between failed attempts. Once Ranked unlocks, XP starts accumulating toward the next tier.

How do I earn XP and can I lose it?

Two XP sources: (1) Ranked mode — Easy +8, Medium +12, Hard +18 per correct answer with speed + combo multipliers 1.2/1.5× (primary source, 100-500 XP/session). (2) Daily Challenge — once per day, XP by correct count 0/20/40/60/100/150 (up to +150 XP, ~4,500 XP/month, gives casual users a reliable progression path). Practice and other modes don't grant XP — they contribute to history, streaks, and the early-unlock path. Wrong answers don't cost XP (they cost energy in Ranked). Lifetime XP only goes up.

How is Practice different from Ranked?

Practice: free, unlimited, pick any book/difficulty, shows explanations after each question, unlimited hints. Ranked: costs energy (5 per wrong answer), questions are random, no book selection, but only Ranked plays count toward the leaderboard. Practice to learn, Ranked to compete.

How do Daily Challenge and Streak work?

Daily Challenge: 5 fixed questions per day (same for everyone), once per day — creates a shared daily puzzle community. Streak: consecutive days played — increments by 1 each day you play Ranked mode. Miss 1 day → Streak Freeze auto-consumes (if available); miss 2+ days → streak resets to 1. Freeze count per week scales by tier: 1 freeze at T1-T2, 2 at T3-T4, 3 at T5-T6. Milestone badges planned: 7 days 'Diligent', 30 days 'Faithful', 100 days 'Patient as Job'. Note: Practice, Weekly, Mystery, Speed do NOT extend streak — only Ranked counts.

What are Church Groups and Tournaments?

Church Groups: join or create a group around your congregation/cell, with a group-only leaderboard, play alongside fellow believers. Tournaments: 1v1 bracket elimination, requires Sage tier or above. Group leaders can organize private tournaments for their members.

How does the energy system (⚡) work?

Accepted Answer

You get 100 energy per day. Ranked costs 5 energy per wrong answer (correct = free). When energy runs out you can't play Ranked — switch to Practice (free) or wait for midnight reset. Regen scales with tier: New Believer 20/hour, Sage 28/hour, Apostle 35/hour.

When and how can I use Hints (Lifelines)?

During a quiz, press the 💡 Hint button to eliminate one wrong option. Practice: unlimited. Ranked: 2 per session. Multiplayer/Tournament: disabled (fair play). The algorithm is smart — it eliminates the least-chosen wrong answer first, keeping the strong distractor to train your judgment.

Is my gameplay data private?

Your detailed answers and session history are visible only to you. Publicly displayed: name, avatar, tier, total XP (on leaderboard). NOT displayed: email, per-question answers, wrong/right history. We don't share data with third parties. Full details in the Privacy Policy linked from the footer.

Question 14

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile → scroll to the bottom → tap 'Delete account'. All progress, sessions, and answers will be permanently erased within 7 days. Your name disappears from the leaderboard immediately. This action is NOT reversible. If you just want a break, simply stop logging in — data stays.
